Objective v Fragging

Post  {GTB} Granny on Thu Jul 17, 2008 11:10 am

Guys I know we all want to blow each others heads off as much as possible but we need to get a balance here.

There are players that want to complete the objective and those that just want to frag.

I myself like to try and complete the objective.

I realise there are players that just want to frag and I have no problem with that at all.

However, if you are one of the players that just want to frag then can I please request that you put yourself on the defending team.

If you can't move yourself then an admin will move you as soon as possible if you ask nicely.

This will not always be possible so can you please try to be a good team player while you are waiting to be moved.

I will be asking admins to move people who aren't helping the attacking team to the defending team.

This may be done without warning but I am sure they will give you notice if possible.

Please try and be a team player, it makes for a much better game.

Well granny you know i agree with this, i am getting so fed up of sitting here being bord defending, when the other team are fragging/defending when they should be doing objective...and as liam said, being on the same team as tese fraggers, when we are surposed to be doing objective is annoying too...all the fun goes out of playing.

I totally agree with this.. and like Slayer already said, defending can be really boring when attacking team arent doing anything for objective..

Must admit it gets on my nerves when you have Rambo medics that wont revive engineers "who by the way are mostly trying to achive the objective" because they are an a fragging mision.

Let`s have a little more team play. cheers

I agree cuz I love doing objects WHEN i can play on a team where most of the players are backing up each other. But sometimes there are just ppl who cant cooperate, and then i dont find it so funny doing obj. I dont think we should move all players that is not cooperating cuz that will make the teams uneven... as long as they are not bothering you i think it is ok some times, you dont need to move all players that is not playing in your fireteam... Razz

This will also make it much more to do for the admins...

I also think most ppl can cooperate in a team if they are asked to, they are just so used to go rambo...

But
This will make us better in scrims Smile

i agree aswell, but i have had another problem.
this problem is, that when youre a medic on attacking team and actually want to help with the obj, most engis gib themselves right away...
this means, i run into the enemys to try and rev the engi for the obj, but then get caught by like a million defenders with my needle out, which obviously sucks...
resulting in me getting b00ned and pissed
So i think it would indeed be better if wed work as a team =)

Guys don't get me wrong here, I think if we have lots of guests here then all they are going to want to do is frag.

No problem !

Would be nice if {GTB} Members got their act together though when trying to complete the objective.

I think it's a great feeling when you know you have helped out the engineer get the dynamite to where it's supposed to be.

The same goes for coverts waiting around and opening doors for others to go through.

Everyone appreciates it. cheers

and i have done it like this few times...(on Baserace) Im field ops and naiter is medic or other way around and then the medic takes the OBJ and field ops follows the medic at a distance and if medic is in trouble helps to kill or if medic died takes the OBJ. There are alot of other good combinations like this for good and effective objective completing.

Nice to see so many agree about team work, and doing the objective..i have noticed however a few newer members (the ones who think all maps are just for fragging) haven't posted....
